- Residents who have concerns about snow plowing operations as they relate to yards and driveways are encouraged to delineate the edge of the yard or roadside feature by using flexible marker sticks or reflectors. These are commonly available at farm and home stores, and greatly assist snow plow drivers.
- Homeowners can take steps to protect their mailbox from snow plowing operations. Heavy, wet snow can often knock mailboxes down, particularly those which are not in good repair. CCHD replaces mailboxes only if we find evidence, such as dents or paint transfer, that we physically struck it with our truck or plow.
